Being comfortable and pain-free on the bike can be the difference between a tedious, shortened ride and an enjoyable, smooth ride.
Whether it is for comfort, performance, or injury prevention, speaking to a physiotherapist with cycling experience and an ability to make simple adjustments to you and the bike can make a considerable change. Fitting a bike is more artistic than scientific, so we always keep in mind we’re looking at you as an individual.
Please bring the bike you’d like us to assess (see our FAQs for compatibility), along with your usual cycling clothing and shoes. If you wear cleats, please ensure they are clean and the bolts can be adjusted.
If you haven’t already returned your questionnaire and consent form, please bring them with you or arrive 10 minutes early to complete them before your appointment.
Please see Elite’s website for more information (link included here https://www.elite-it.com/en/home-trainers/classic-trainers/novo-force) If you are not sure about the measurements mentioned on their site, we recommend speaking to a bike shop who can let you know.
Our Cycling Physiotherapy Assessment combines expert clinical assessment with practical bike fitting advice. Unlike a traditional bike fit, our physiotherapist can diagnose and treat injuries, identify underlying movement issues, and recommend changes to reduce pain, improve comfort and enhance performance.
With extensive cycling experience and a background in competitive sport, our physiotherapist can make key adjustments to your bike setup and provide personalised advice, helping you get the most from your riding without the cost of a full specialist bike fit.
A basic bike fit will focus on seat position and height, handlebar angle and height, shoe sizing, and cleat/foot position.
All our patients receive a physiotherapy assessment report which include adjustments made to the bike in clinic alongside future recommendations.
The plan put together with you and the physiotherapist will include treatment recommendations. If you do not require treatment but are having issues with the bike changes, you are welcome to return for a review included in the initial price but is limited to bike review only. Any review of exercises or manual therapies require a standard follow-up.
We do not sell or provide any bike specific parts but can make recommendations on different things to consider going forwards. Although our physiotherapist is on a local bike shop team, recommendations will not be limited to that shop, and no commission will be earned on the same.
We provide free 15-minute discovery calls where you can discuss your situation and concerns with the physiotherapist directly. Simply book and we will call you at the specified time.
Our Cycling Physiotherapy Clinic is based at our Coltishall clinic, where we have the space and specialist equipment to assess both you and your own bike. Using the Elite Novo Force Turbo Trainer, we can evaluate your riding position on your own setup rather than a static fitting system. Please see our FAQs for bike compatibility.
Before your appointment, we’ll review the information you provide so we can focus on assessing your movement, bike setup and any symptoms. During the session, we’ll discuss your injury history, training and goals before carrying out a detailed physical assessment.
We can assess and adjust saddle position, handlebars, shoe fit and cleat alignment, as well as recommend any further changes to optimise comfort and performance.
You’ll leave with a personalised treatment and bike fit plan designed to reduce pain, improve efficiency and help you return to cycling with confidence. Where appropriate, ongoing care will follow our standard physiotherapy approach, with gradual changes introduced to allow your body time to adapt.

Thank you for seeing me so promptly and for your caring and friendly manner. I am feeling loads better already.
Jared listened well as I described the presenting injury and accompanying discomfort. He then patiently guided me through a series of effective exercises. By the time I got home, there was an email with picture guides and descriptions of his recommended therapeutic exercises. Easy to follow and easy to implement. The exercises are already helping with numbness and discomfort after just 2 days. I look forward to working with Jared and anticipate that the current discomfort from a carpel tunnel and rotator cuff injury will be managed and healed.
The receptionist at Sheringham was very friendly. Jared, the physiotherapist, was thorough in his questions and very helpful with his advice.
I was recommended by my father to visit Randell’s after injuring my shoulder. The treatment I received exceeded all expectations. Being able to regain movement in my shoulder and neck after just one session I am beyond grateful! I cannot recommend them enough!
Three physio appointments for my back have reduced pain and helped me to be more mobile again. Advice to maintain stability of my back was also given.
Highly recommended after my physio sessions , friendly and very thorough

My experience at Randell’s Healthcare has been absolutely fantastic. I booked a physiotherapy appointment for a recurring knee issue and was blown away by the level of care I received. The physiotherapist conducted a detailed assessment and immediately put me at ease with their friendly yet professional approach. They tailored my treatment to suit my needs, and the exercises they recommended have made a huge difference. The clinic itself is clean and welcoming, and I always felt I was in expert hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend their services to anyone in need of physiotherapy!
I can’t recommend Randell’s Healthcare enough! I went in with persistent lower back pain that had been bothering me for months. From the very first appointment, the physiotherapist was professional, thorough, and incredibly understanding. They explained everything clearly, from the root cause of my pain to the treatment plan, which included a mix of hands-on therapy and personalised exercises. After just a few sessions, I noticed significant improvement, and now I’m almost completely pain-free! The care and attention to detail were second to none.
