Randell's Footcare 2023 Wrap Up

As the weather gets colder, it’s important to keep our feet warm and comfortable. Here are five top tips for keeping your feet warm in the winter:

warm footwear
  1. Wear thick, insulated socks. Look for socks that are made from materials like wool or fleece, which will help to keep your feet warm. Avoid thin cotton socks, as they won’t provide enough insulation.
  2. Wear boots with good insulation. Choose boots that are made from materials like leather or rubber, which will help to keep your feet warm and dry. Look for boots with a thick, insulated lining, and avoid wearing open-toed shoes or sandals in cold weather.
  3. Avoid walking on cold surfaces. If possible, try to avoid walking on cold surfaces like concrete or tile, as these can quickly suck the warmth out of your feet. If you have to walk on these surfaces, wear boots with good insulation and a thick sole to help insulate your feet.
  4. Avoid tight-fitting shoes: Tight-fitting shoes can restrict blood flow to your feet, leaving them cold and uncomfortable. Instead, opt for shoes that allow your feet plenty of room to move and breathe.
  5. Keep your blood circulating. To keep your feet warm, it’s important to keep your blood circulating. To do this, try moving your feet and toes around frequently, and avoid sitting or standing in one place for too long.

Winter weather can be harsh on our feet, leaving them cold and uncomfortable. So following the above advice will help keep them warm and toasty during the cold months.
